Welcome to Society For Mental Health Awareness Research And Teaching And Training.

SOCIETY FOR MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS RESEARCH AND TEACHING AND TRAINING is an autonomous body of Mental Health professionals in the city of PUNE, working for the cause of positive mental health by promoting prevention, control, treatment and relief of all psychiatric disabilities. Public Education, Research, Teaching, Psychiatric training, and academic exchange are other areas of society’s focus.

The core missions of SMARTT includes encouragement to the highest possible standards of clinical practice, to increase knowledge and skills about mental disorders and how they can be prevented and treated, to promote mental health and to promote the highest possible ethical standards in psychiatric work.

Our Objectives

To Create awareness about Mental health.
To provide and upgrade facility in Psychiatry.
To do research work in the field of Mental Health Field.
To give training and teaching of the psychiatrist, general practitioners, nurse, psychologists and other health care professionals.
To providing legal help to professionals working in mental health care services & patients of families.
To providing funding for research related to medical health.
Funding for upgrading Knowledge & Skills and recent advance in mental health.
Promote and organise workshops, camps CMEs, conferences a state, national & international levels.
Give advice or guidelines or expert opinion to government agency/ Pharmaceutical companies/news.
Encourage Mental health professionals with awards, educational grant, research funding or in terms of sponsorship for knowledge up-gradation or awareness at national and international level.
To increase awareness of mental health in other medical specialities.
Laison with local/state/zonal/national and International organization for development of Mental Health in our society.
